The end of summer

It’s the Labour Day long weekend and the sun has peeked out much to my delight. The temperature’s a bit chilly but I’m determined to keep wearing summer clothes. Even as I sniffle and cough my way through it.

Saturday, I went to chuuuch (kinda) for Sondre Lerche’s Polaroid Pool Party. He is as amazing as he always has been and I picked up a little party favour pour moi and Em, who sadly could not be there to witness Sondre’s amazingness with me this time around. There was this lovely moment at the beginning of Sylvie Lewis’ set when he popped up next to us to, I guess, check out the view from the balcony. It took all my will power to not squeal and chase after him. :P

Yesterday, I stayed up past my bedtime and actually went out with my friends. While it didn’t turn out the way I had hoped, it was still fun to get out. I’ll have to do it “right” the next time though.

And then today, I hung out with some other dear friends as we ate dim sum and chatted over paint samples and IKEA furniture at their new apartment. Well, the girls did. The boys…not so much.

But the best part of this weekend? Kickin’ ass on drums. Since repairing our broken pedal, I haven’t touched it much and I was sure that I’d regressed. But I got back on it and managed to pass songs that I had once deemed impossible and now am on to impossibler songs! Hopefully I can master it all in time for Rock Band 2. It is going to be so awesome!
